Traveling to Milan: The Best Route for You
There are several ways that you can travel to the city of Milan. If you are flying, you will most likely land in the Malpensa airport, assuming that you are flying internationally. The Linate airport handles domestic flights and the occasional European flight. The Malpensa airport offers duty-free shopping, restaurants and business conference areas including the Executive Center. The center offers meeting rooms, administrative assistants who are trained bilinguals, videoconferencing and more.
The next option for the traveler who is already in Europe, specifically in Italy, is the train. From Stazione Centrale, you can catch a train to any of Italy’s major cities. You can even pick up international connections and of course, rides to Milan. The rails provide a definite sense of direction for the weary traveler.
Taking a bus trip to Milan is not recommended by most travel experts. Bus stations are placed randomly and often haphazardly throughout the city of Milan. If you do not know exactly where you are going, it will be best to enter Milan by train.
Travel Once in Milan
Once you are in Milan, there are several different ways to travel around the city. There are underground lines in addition to trams and busses.
